Yes! We offer a wide variety of projects to paint at home! You are welcome to stop by the studio to shop our shelves or visit our online shop to browse our options 24/7 and order online for pick up at the studio. Most orders are ready for pick up in about 1.5 business hours, or you can schedule your preferred pick up time!

Delivery may be available through DoorDash, depending on your location. Pottery must still be brought back to the studio for firing.

If you would like to shop the shelves in studio, please allow at least 40 minutes for you to shop and for us to pack your order, longer on weekends/school holidays.

Prices vary, and depend on what you decide to create! Our studio is all-inclusive, so the price you see posted covers your project, materials, and glazing/firing. Most pieces are in the $25-60 range.

You can shop current stock on our online store to get a feel for pricing!

Most visitors spend 1.5-2 hours creating with us. Younger painters will often take less time!

Please Note: Visits are currently limited to two hours as part of our COVID protocols. Read our full studio guidelines here.

Pottery and fused glass projects will take 7-10 days for firing. We will text you when your order is ready for pick up.

Glass painting is ready to take home the same day!

Parties, workshops, and large groups can take 10-14 days for pick up.

If you need to finish a project, we will happily pack up up to three colors for you to finish at home or you may return to visit free of charge during non-peak hours.

If you are returning to finish a project during peak hours (Weekends + HCPSS Holidays), there may be a $10 sitting fee (per piece) applied. This fee is waived during regular weekday hours (Mon-Fri) or if someone at your table is purchasing a new project.

Light snacks and beverages are always welcome in the studio, and the studio is BYOB for ages 21+ (IDs required).

Please note that cupcakes, cake, pizza, and other “party food” or supplies are only allowed in our party room during booked parties.

We also have some packaged soft drinks and snacks for sale. Please note that as of May 2020 we have closed our coffee bar.

Unfortunately, we do not fire or repair outside pieces/projects at this time. For the safety of our kilns, staff, and customers, we DO NOT fire wet clay projects, handbuilt or handthrown projects, or projects purchased online.

Note: If you have painted pottery at one of our sister studios found at paintyourownpottery.com, we MAY be able to fire your project for a fee. Please email or text us at (410) 480-011 with photos of the piece(s) in question and details, including the studio’s name, contact info, and proof of purchase– we’ll be able to let you know if we can help.

If you are looking to have something repaired and it is decorative, consider using a clear glue like e6000 or an epoxy to glue it back together. Small tubes of e6000 are available for purchase, or find it at your local Michaels or Walmart.

We do NOT work with wet clay in the main studio at this time or offer wheel throwing.

However, we do offer a Brownie Potter Badge program to work with clay and occasionally have wet clay handbuilding workshops. Follow us on social media or join our email list for more information when we post these classes!

Unfortunately, we do not fire outside clay pieces in our kilns.

Please consider visiting our friends at The Clayground in downtown Old Ellicott City to work on a wheel!

Oh no!  Please send us an email at info@thepotterystop.com with your question and we’ll get back to you in 24-48 business hours.
